Last year, Crowe Clark Whitehill’s Law Firm Benchmarking showed growth across much of the sector, especially among regional law firms, with many firms identifying the affordability and availability of staff as being critical factors to future success.
Those results and thoughts were captured, however, before the result of the EU Referendum. So what impact will Brexit and the last 12 months make on firms’ performance and their hopes and plans for the future?
Steve Gale, London Professional Practices partner commented:
“2016 was the year of the unexpected and had the potential to cause firms to stagnate. We’re looking forward to hearing from firms on how the last year has turned out for them and how they are facing the future.”
Ross Prince, Regional Professional Practices partner commented:
“Over the last few years we have seen a growing proportion of firms with falling revenue. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues and the stronger firms take yet more market share.
“With all the political upheaval of 2016, we think this year’s Benchmarking will be the most challenging and thought provoking yet.”
The 2017 Benchmarking will launch later this month. If you would like to receive an email about it, contact us.
