Managing short term business visitors

Increasingly, organisations are hosting Short Term Business Visitors (STBVs) from overseas and are also sending employees to work outside the UK for short periods of time. Given the change in HMRC’s approach to compliance with regard to STBVs and the complexity of the rules, many employers are left uncertain as to their compliance obligations. We have seen a number of recent examples where this has led to compliance failures and financial penalties.

This session focuses exclusively on short term business visitors, as highlighted below.

  • When is PAYE required for STBVs?
  • Do you need to operate National Insurance for STBVs?
  • How do you track the visitors?
  • Do you need to implement a technology solution?
  • When is a STBV agreement required?
  • What is best practice in this area?
  • What is the cost of getting it wrong?

Attendees will be provided with practical guidance on what is required to successfully manage STBVs, helping you to ensure that your organisation remains compliant.
