Tax Investigations: A storm is coming!

2017 is an important year of widespread change with, amongst other things, the practical implementation of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).

The CRS is an agreement signed by over 100 countries to automatically exchange client information. HMRC will receive data about foreign accounts, structures and trusts etc. held by UK residents.

It is very important for all professionals to appreciate the dangers, pitfalls and especially the opportunities in the new era.

Storms aren’t the preserve of HMRC, however: changing times put strains on business which impact on clients and their supply chains. This gives challenges when times are tough and opportunities for those able to take them, when clients won’t want to be alone.

With this in mind, we invite you to a seminar covering a number of issues.

Focus

  • CRS, the Worldwide Disclosure Facility and new penalties proposed under the Requirement to Correct – the basics that all accountants need to know
  • Inheritance Tax planning for Owner Managed Businesses
  • guidance in the twilight zone, turnaround and defending against customer or supplier risk
  • the world of corporate finance – raising funds, buying or selling businesses – the ‘art’ of the deal.

Cost

There is no cost to attend this event.
